Part-Time Math Tutor

Love math and enjoy working with kids? Mathnasium of Westwood-River Vale is looking for friendly, dependable part-time math tutors to help students build their math skills and confidence.

We provide paid training, structured instructional materials, and a supportive team environment.

What You'll Do

• Help students in grades K–12 understand math concepts and build confidence
• Work with students individually and in small groups
• Teach using Mathnasium's established curriculum and instructional methods
• Encourage students and celebrate their progress
• Maintain a positive, productive learning environment

What We're Looking For

• Strong math skills through at least Geometry (Algebra II or higher preferred)
• Patient, reliable, and comfortable working with children
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred, but not required

Schedule

• Flexible weekday afternoon shifts between 3:00–7:00 PM, Monday through Thursday
• Part-time, typically 2–4 shifts per week
• Scheduling based on availability

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 20.0 per week
