Part-Time Meal Delivery Driver

PART-TIME MEAL DELIVERY DRIVER
Monday–Thursday Afternoons | $15/Hour + Mileage + Tips (total pay will end up ranging from $15-$45/hour with the average guaranteed tips included in that range)

Katie’s Plates is looking for dependable, friendly delivery drivers to deliver freshly prepared meals to customers throughout the Birmingham area.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants consistent part-time afternoon work without nights or weekends. Our customers depend on us, so punctuality, accuracy, communication, and reliability are extremely important.

SCHEDULE

• Monday through Thursday
• Routes generally begin around 1:30 PM
• Approximately 9–15 hours per week
• Shift length varies depending on the assigned route, but will typically end before 5:30 PM.
• No Friday, Saturday, or Sunday shifts

COMPENSATION

• $15 per hour (this is base, but adding in the daily guaranteed tips brings it up to $45/hour)
• $0.37-$0.42 per mile reimbursement (dependent on local gas prices)
• Guaranteed customer tips in addition to hourly pay and mileage
• Drivers commonly receive approximately $50–$110 in tips per delivery day, depending on the route

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Arrive at the Irondale kitchen on time and ready for the assigned route
• Deliver meals safely and accurately to each customer
• Follow delivery notes and customer instructions
• Communicate promptly if a delivery issue occurs
• Represent Katie’s Plates in a friendly and professional manner

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Current automobile insurance
• Smartphone with dependable GPS and communication access
• Clean and safe driving habits
• Ability to lift and carry meal-delivery bags and coolers
• Strong attention to detail
• Consistent availability during the listed hours

• Comfortable driving throughout the Birmingham area
• Organized and able to follow a numbered route
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Able to work independently
• Careful with customer orders and delivery instructions
• Available consistently—not simply looking for occasional one-time shifts
