Part-Time Mover – Weekday Availability

Sterling Peak Moving Services is looking for a reliable, professional part-time mover to help with residential and commercial moving jobs throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

This position is ideal for someone who has weekday availability and wants flexible part-time work. Hours will vary based on our moving schedule, so this is not a guaranteed 40-hour-per-week position.

Our movers are expected to work efficiently, protect customers’ belongings and property, communicate professionally, and provide a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities include:

• Loading and unloading furniture, boxes, and household or office items
• Moving furniture within apartments, homes, offices, and storage facilities
• Basic furniture disassembly and reassembly
• Safely using dollies, moving straps, and other moving equipment
• Protecting furniture, walls, floors, doors, and common areas
• Following job instructions provided through our scheduling app
• Working effectively with a 2- or 3-person moving crew
• Communicating professionally with customers
• Completing jobs efficiently while maintaining safe moving practices

What we’re looking for:

• Available during weekdays, especially mornings and afternoons
• Reliable and punctual
• Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the DFW area
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work
• Able to lift approximately 75+ lbs and assist with heavier team lifts
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Comfortable working in apartments, homes, offices, elevators, stairs, and storage facilities
• Smartphone capable of using our scheduling/time-clock app
• Moving, delivery, warehouse, furniture delivery, or similar experience is preferred

Compensation:

• Starting pay: $20/hour
• Tips are yours
• $0.80/mile reimbursement between job sites when applicable
• Opportunity to move into a Lead Mover position starting at $25/hour + tips for experienced movers who can independently run jobs and lead a crew

Schedule:

• Part-time
• Primarily weekday work
• Hours vary depending on booked moves
• Morning and daytime availability is especially valuable
• Additional weekend work may occasionally be available

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
