Part-Time Pharmacist – Medication Therapy Management (MTM)

Medella Pharmacy is seeking a part-time pharmacist to join our team in a flexible role focused primarily on Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services.

This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys direct patient interaction, clinical medication review, and helping patients get the most benefit from their medications. The majority of this position will be dedicated to completing MTM services, with occasional shifts providing coverage for our staff pharmacist in the retail pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services with eligible patients
• Perform comprehensive and targeted medication reviews
• Identify medication-related problems, adherence concerns, drug interactions, and opportunities to optimize therapy
• Educate patients regarding their medications and treatment plans
• Communicate with prescribers and other healthcare providers when appropriate
• Complete required MTM documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Follow up with patients when necessary
• Occasionally provide pharmacist coverage in the retail pharmacy, including prescription verification, counseling, vaccinations, and general pharmacist duties
• Maintain compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies

Schedule

This is a part-time position with flexible hours. We are open to working with the right candidate to develop a schedule that works for both the pharmacist and the pharmacy.

The position will primarily consist of scheduled MTM hours, along with occasional retail pharmacist coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist license
• Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred due to our patient population
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification required
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills
• Comfortable speaking with patients by phone and in person
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
• Able to work independently and efficiently
• MTM experience preferred, but not required
• Retail/community pharmacy experience preferred
