Nova Academy of Cosmetology is looking for a Part-Time Nail Technician Instructor to join our Woodbury campus.

Whether you're already a licensed instructor or an experienced nail technician interested in teaching, we'd love to meet you.

If you do not currently hold a Minnesota Instructor License, Nova Academy will help the right candidate work toward obtaining it.

What You'll Do

• Coach, mentor, and support Nail Technology students throughout their education
• Teach classroom and hands-on practical instruction
• Demonstrate professional nail techniques, sanitation practices, and industry standards
• Help students develop technical skills, professionalism, retail sales, guest service, and career readiness
• Monitor student progress and provide additional coaching when needed
• Record grades and maintain accurate student records
• Prepare classrooms and hands-on learning activities
• Support students in meeting program requirements and preparing for licensure and employment
• Collaborate with Student Services and campus leadership to support student success
• Foster a positive, professional, and encouraging learning environment

Qualifications

Required

• Current Minnesota Nail Technician License
• Strong technical knowledge of nail services and sanitation practices
• Passion for mentoring and developing future beauty professionals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional attitude and dependable work ethic

Preferred

• Minnesota Instructor License
• Previous teaching, coaching, mentoring, salon leadership, or training experience
