Part Time Nursery Practitioner Level 3 Term time only - 2 days per week

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will work with the team to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives. Applicants should have relevant nursery experience, a level 3 EYE qualification(or equivalent) and a genuine interest in early childhood education. We are looking for someone to work 2 x 8 hour days, term time only (39 weeks of the year). Days fixed at Tuesdays and Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
• Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods ensuring their safety at all times
• Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children’s independence and confidence
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
• Support colleagues in implementing the nursery’s policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily experiences
• Assist with organising nursery events and activities to enrich the children's learning experience
• Understand and show inclusive practice

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or equivalent / higher) is essential
• Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating initiative
• Passionate about working with children and committed to their well-being and development
