Part-Time (possible full-time) Controller

Compensation: $95,000 annually

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Part-Time Controller will manage financial reporting, general ledger entries, cash flow and internal controls.

This is a part-time position with the potential for future transition to full-time based on business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Direct daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

· Maintain the general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets and journal entries required to close each month.

· Ensure accurate, timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.

· Manage intercompany transactions and the existing AP/billing processes; recommend improvements where needed.

· Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and account reconciliations.

· Partner with leadership to prepare budgets, forecasts and financial analyses. Prepare owner-level financial reports and crop-year budgets vs actuals.

· Weekly cash flow forecasting, bank accounts and lender reporting.

· Oversee external audit processes, coordinate with outside CPA firm on estimates, year-end and tax filings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.

· 5 years of experience in accounting roles preferred, preferably in agriculture or a similar industry.

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel required.

· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required.

· Excellent communication and people skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy required.

· Experience with Famous Accounting systems preferred.

· Experience in working with multiple, integrated companies preferred.
