Part-Time Primary Therapist

Seeking AMFT, LMFT, ASW, LCSW, PsyD, PhD.

Statement of Purpose:

Launch Centers is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a part-time therapist! Our ideal candidate is passionate about empowering young adults, interested in career growth, and enjoys working collaboratively on a team. The primary therapist fulfills direct service practice through facilitating individual, couple/family and group psychotherapy, consultations, and crisis intervention. Special interest in family work and Neurodivergence is a plus!

Pay: $27-$37 per hour

Major Task, Duties and Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of evidenced based substance use and mental health treatment interventions, family systems and 12 step/recovery resources in the community
• Maintain timely and clinically appropriate documentation as required
• Conduct clinical assessments of clients at the time of admission and re-assessments as appropriate throughout the duration of the client’s treatment stay
• Provide individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy as assigned, caseload size will fluctuate depending on the needs of the facility
• Demonstrate cultural competence and an ability to work respectfully with a diverse range of clients and staff
• Assist with client crisis intervention, including 5150 determinations
• Participates in thoughtful discharge planning with assigned clients, collaborates with case management, administration and outside agencies to formulate discharge plans
• Adheres to Launch facility, department, personnel, and standard policies and procedures, including safety policies and safe work practices

Prerequisite Qualifications

A Masters or Doctorate degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or social science.

Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Science as an ASW/LCSW or AMFT/LMFT, or by the Board of Psychology as a licensed Psychologist. Minimum of two years experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from mental illness and/or substance abuse.
