What they need

Lead the way. Own the impact. Right At School provides Before & After School, Summer Camp, and Break Camp programs at 1,200+ schools across the country. Our programs deliver hands-on enrichment activities, homework support, active play, social-emotional learning, and more — all guided by a mission to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.

As a Program Manager, you'll lead a team and oversee daily operations — coaching staff, ensuring safety and compliance, building relationships with families and school partners, and facilitating activities with kids as needed — while gaining valuable leadership and operations experience in the education field.

In short, your day-to-day leadership is what turns a good program into a great one, for your team and every child you serve.

Pay Rate: $23-25 per hour (based on education and experience)

Program Hours: Monday-Friday

  • Before School 6:15-9:10am
  • After School 3:15-6pm

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support a team of Educators, providing coaching, feedback, and day-to-day guidance
  • Keep site documentation, licensing standards, and safety and attendance protocols up to date and compliant with state and company standards
  • Oversee daily check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate "name to face" attendance records
  • Communicate regularly with families, school partners, and your Area Manager, responding promptly to emails, calls, and inquiries during program hours
  • Plan and oversee daily enrichment curriculum, movement, team games, and independent activity stations delivered by your team
  • Address and resolve day-to-day issues or conflicts among staff, students, or families
  • Monitor the program environment for safety, addressing hazards and ensuring safety protocols are followed
  • Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns promptly and maintain accurate documentation

What You'll Gain

  • Current educators & teachers: Step into real leadership experience — coaching a team and owning site operations.
  • Experienced managers from other fields: Bring your management background into a high-impact role in your community.
  • Retired teachers or administrators: Stay connected to your passion for education, at a leadership level.
  • Parents: Lead a program at your own kid's school, with free RAS tuition for staff.
  • Career-track growth for all: Many of RAS's Area and Regional Managers started as Program Managers.

  • Experience managing competing priorities while delivering quality service to staff, families, and school partners
  • High school diploma or GED completed
  • Experience working with children, including those with unique or special needs
  • Coursework or training in child development or a related field (preferred)
