Part time PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) - Aquatic Therapy

We are looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant who is passionate about this profession and interested in aquatic therapy. We are a family-owned private practice located in Fairport, NY and have been open since 1983.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs
• Offer aquatic therapy treatments that help improve clients’ motion and mobility
• Create fitness- and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients’ specific needs
• Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions
• Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally
• Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
• Consult and practice with other health professionals including Chiropractic care, massage therapy, and personal training.
• Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress
• Document patient care services

Requirements:

• PTA degree
• Valid NYS license to practice physical therapy
• Intensive education and clinical expertise
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Drive to continually learn and grow
• Professional behavior
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
