Part-Time QA Tester

We are a proptech platform building a new way for people to sell and buy property without relying on the traditional real estate agent model.

Our platform brings the property transaction journey into one connected digital ecosystem, including property listings, seller onboarding, buyer verification, offers and negotiations, online auctions, digital contracts, notifications and integrations with third-party property and legal services.

As we continue preparing the platform for launch and ongoing development, we are looking for a Part-Time QA Tester to help us maintain a reliable, polished and consistent experience across all devices.

The Role

You will be responsible for regularly testing our platform across:

• Web/Desktop
• Mobile Web
• iOS App
• Android App
• Different browsers, devices and screen sizes

Your primary responsibility will be to identify bugs, inconsistencies, usability problems and unexpected behaviour before they reach our users.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is thorough, methodical and willing to test the platform from the perspective of real sellers, buyers and administrators.

What We're Looking For

You must have have:

• Previous experience in software QA, software testing or application testing
• Experience testing web and mobile applications
• Strong attention to detail
• A methodical approach to identifying and reproducing bugs
• The ability to clearly explain technical issues to developers
• Experience testing across iOS and Android devices
• Experience with Chrome, Safari, Edge and other major browsers
• Understanding of responsive web design
• Good written English and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of QA
• Confidence exploring software beyond the obvious user journey to find edge cases and unexpected behaviour

Experience with Jira, GitHub, Slack or similar development tools would be advantageous.

Experience testing SaaS, marketplace, proptech, fintech or other transaction-based platforms would also be highly regarded.

What Success Looks Like

We are looking for someone who doesn't simply confirm that a feature "works."

A strong QA tester will ask:

What happens if the user does something we didn't expect?

You'll actively look for broken workflows, edge cases, inconsistent behaviour and usability issues across the entire platform.

When our development team deploys something new, we want confidence that it has been thoroughly tested before our sellers and buyers encounter it.

Working With Us

This is initially a part-time position, with hours structured around our development and release requirements.

You will work closely with our Head of Software Development and broader team, with QA becoming an important part of our development and release process.

As we grow and expands, there may be an opportunity for the role to grow with the platform.
