Nexus Sports is looking for dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join our racquet stringing team, supporting both our badminton and tennis operations.

Prior racquet stringing experience is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate from the ground up. We are looking for someone who is patient, mechanically inclined, able to follow a consistent process, and interested in becoming highly skilled at professional racquet stringing.

Responsibilities

• String badminton and tennis racquets according to customer specifications
• Install strings at the requested tension and pattern
• Inspect racquets before and after stringing
• Maintain consistent stringing quality
• Properly handle customer racquets and equipment
• Keep the stringing area and equipment clean and organized
• Document completed racquets and customer specifications accurately
• Complete racquets within required turnaround times
• Follow Nexus Sports stringing procedures and quality standards

Training & Performance Expectations

New stringers will receive hands-on training.

During training, the primary focus will be on accuracy, consistency, proper technique, and protecting the customer's equipment. Speed is expected to improve naturally with experience.

For badminton racquets, a typical progression may look approximately like:

• Initial racquets: Training and learning the process
• Around 10 racquets: Approximately 45 minutes per racquet
• Around 100 racquets: Target of approximately 30 minutes per racquet
• Experienced stringer: Approximately 20–30 minutes per racquet
• Elite stringer: Approximately 15–20 minutes per racquet

These are general performance benchmarks and not strict requirements for every racquet. More complex stringing jobs may require additional time.

Quality always comes first. Speed should never come at the expense of proper technique, consistency, or racquet safety.

Training will also be provided for tennis racquet stringing as needed.

Compensation

Compensation is paid on a per-racquet basis during and after the employee has completed training and demonstrated the ability to string independently.

This structure rewards stringers as their skill, consistency, and efficiency improve.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is:

• Dependable and punctual
• Detail-oriented
• Good with their hands
• Comfortable performing repetitive precision work
• Able to follow detailed procedures consistently
• Careful when handling expensive customer equipment
• Willing to receive feedback and continuously improve
• Able to work independently after completing training

Knowledge of badminton or tennis is helpful but not required.

Previous experience stringing badminton, tennis, squash, or other racquet sports is a plus but is not required.

Schedule

This is a part-time position.

Evening and weekend availability is especially helpful. Scheduling can be discussed based on the candidate's availability and business needs.
