Part-time Receptionist

We are looking for a receptionist to join our busy but friendly team at Northlands Wood Surgery in Haywards Heath.

The Receptionist vacancy will include greeting patients, booking appointments, answering the phone, processing repeat prescriptions, liaising with doctors and other healthcare professionals and the scanning of post and other documentation as well as other administration tasks. This is a busy but varied role working within a strong and supportive team.

Full training will be given but the role requires someone who is IT literate, happy to learn new software and systems, an excellent team player, empathetic and an effective communicator.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, flexible, capable and enthusiastic with experience of dealing with the general public. Hours will be part-time with overtime shifts available for holiday cover.

Very occasional Saturday morning cover for flu vaccination clinics and the flexibility to cover staff holiday and sickness will also be required. Experience of working within a GP practice is desirable although not essential.

25 days holiday per year (pro-rata) plus bank holidays, NHS pension scheme (subject to eligibility) and a positive working environment.

Please be aware that if you are currently a patient at Northlands Wood you will be required to register at another practice if you are offered and accept this job.

Hours: Monday 14:30-18:30, Wednesday 14:30-18:30 and Thursday 14:00-18:30, please only apply if you are able to work these hours.
