About Us

Daeji is a Korean restaurant located in Downtown Vancouver. We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking part-time team member to join our team.

Job Description

Since our restaurant is not extremely busy, this position involves a combination of front-of-house and kitchen duties. Team members will help with serving customers, food preparation, and basic kitchen tasks depending on the needs of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to customers
• Take orders and process payments
• Prepare and portion ingredients
• Cut kimchi and prepare other ingredients
• Prepare and handle meat and other food items
• Assist with cooking and plating when needed
• Keep the dining area and kitchen clean and organized
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Work as a team and assist with other tasks as needed

Requirements

• Previous restaurant experience is an asset, but not required
• Basic English communication skills
• Responsible, reliable, and punctual
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Willing to learn and perform both front-of-house and kitchen duties
• Food Safe certification is an asset

Position & Compensation

• Part-time
• Minimum wage + 4% vacation pay
• Paid every two weeks (biweekly)
• Downtown Vancouver
• Flexible scheduling depending on availability
