Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and confidence
• Assist with product demos and upselling to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including merchandising and stocking shelves as needed
• Follow proper phone etiquette when answering inquiries or directing calls
• Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting product displays, and participating in merchandising efforts

Requirements

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and balancing registers
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Supervising experience is advantageous for potential leadership opportunities
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, retail sales techniques, and customer service best practices
