Position Summary

At Top Toy, our Sales Associates are brand ambassadors responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales performance. This role is at the center of creating memorable shopping experiences by building genuine connections with customers, understanding their interests, and introducing them to our unique assortment of collectible toys, blind boxes, licensed merchandise, and exclusive products.

The ideal candidate is energetic, customer focused, and passionate about creating an engaging retail environment. They are comfortable initiating conversations, promoting membership programs, recommending products, and contributing to the overall success of the store through outstanding service and strong sales results.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Sales

* Greet every customer promptly and enthusiastically, creating a welcoming and engaging shopping environment.

* Build meaningful customer relationships by identifying needs, interests, and purchasing preferences.

* Deliver personalized product recommendations and utilize suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.

* Educate customers on current promotions, new product launches, membership programs, and exclusive offerings.

* Consistently contribute to achieving store sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), including conversion, units per transaction, average transaction value, and membership enrollment.

* Create excitement around new products, collectibles, and limited edition merchandise.

Product Knowledge & Brand Representation

* Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of Top Toy products, brands, intellectual properties, and collectibles.

* Stay informed about upcoming releases, promotional campaigns, and merchandise trends.

* Serve as a knowledgeable resource for customers, answering questions and providing expert recommendations.

* Represent the Top Toy brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and positivity.

Merchandising & Store Operations

* Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure displays are clean, organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing.

* Assist with inventory management, shipment processing, stock replenishment, and product organization.

* Ensure pricing, signage, and promotional materials are accurate and properly displayed.

* Support store opening, closing, and operational procedures.

* Maintain a clean, safe, and professional store environment at all times.

Cash Handling & Transaction Processing

* Accurately process sales transactions, returns, exchanges, and membership enrollments through the (POS) point of sale system.

* Handle cash, credit card, and digital payment transactions in accordance with company policies.

* Ensure accuracy and accountability in all transactional activities.

Teamwork & Flexibility

* Collaborate effectively with store leadership and team members to achieve business objectives.

* Participate in store events, promotional activities, and special launches.

* Support operational needs across all areas of the business as required.

* Adapt quickly in a fast paced retail environment while maintaining a positive attitude and high level of customer service.

Physical Requirements

* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout scheduled shifts.

* Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.

* Ability to access merchandise in elevated storage areas using ladders or step stools while following all safety procedures.

* Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive movements as required by the role.

Qualifications

* High School Diploma or equivalent required.

* Previous retail, customer service, hospitality, or sales experience preferred.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Excellent customer service orientation with a passion for creating memorable experiences.

* Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast paced environment.

* Basic math and cash handling skills required.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and professionalism.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
