Part-Time Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in driving sales, assisting customers with their needs, and ensuring an inviting shopping environment. Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to provide excellent service and support throughout their shopping experience.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
• Assist in stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining store organization.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor and backroom areas.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accuracy in cash handling procedures.
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or taking orders.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and understanding retail math concepts.
• Experience with merchandising techniques and stocking procedures is a plus.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for enhanced customer interaction.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with product demos and upselling strategies is advantageous.
