Position Summary

Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and general upkeep of the school building. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works independently, and helps ensure that our school remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop common areas and classrooms weekly.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and other surfaces.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces.
• Empty trash cans and replace trash bags throughout the building.
• Vacuum carpets and maintain clean floors and common areas.
• Hang decorations, signs, displays, and other items on walls as requested.
• Assist with setting up and arranging tables, chairs, and furniture for school events.
• Perform general cleaning and light facilities upkeep as needed.
• Identify and communicate maintenance concerns or other building needs.
• Take initiative to keep the building clean, orderly, and presentable.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Thorough, organized, and attentive to detail.
• Physically able to perform routine cleaning and move furniture as needed.
• Willing to pitch in wherever help is needed.
• Prior custodial or cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Must meet any applicable school employment requirements, including all Diocesan Safe Environment background checks.

Schedule

Part-time; approximately 6-10 hours a week, schedule to be determined but ideally on Thursdays and Fridays

Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy is a Catholic non-profit serving homeschooling families. Our mission is simple: to provide a high-quality classical education in partnership with parents, in the Tradition of the Catholic Faith.

We provide in-person classes at the academy two days a week, and curriculum guidance for three days of learning at home.
