Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties throughout the school premises, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition
• Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures
• Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting following safe lifting practices
• Maintain cleanliness of classroom floors and bathrooms to uphold high standards of sanitation and appearance
• Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure environment for staff and students

Requirements

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and sanitation procedures
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Experience with chemical agent handling and understanding of chemical safety procedures
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors
