Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail mixing, wine pouring, spirits service, and beverage presentation in accordance with safety standards
• Upsell menu items including specialty drinks, desserts, or premium selections to enhance guest experience and increase sales revenue
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and service stations by bussing and resetting tables promptly
• Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments via POS systems, and give correct change while adhering to cash handling procedures
• Support food safety protocols by following sanitation guidelines during food handling and preparation activities
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address guest needs promptly
• Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns professionally to foster a welcoming environment
• Support other team members during busy hours by managing tasks such as food running or assisting with event setups like nightclub or special dining experiences

Experience

• Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing sales transactions efficiently
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations gracefully
• Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and maintaining food safety standards
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously through effective time management skills during busy shifts
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• OpenTable familiarity is advantageous for reservation management but not required
