Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to foster a welcoming environment
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering processes, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including proper food handling and preparation practices
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food service flow and address guest needs promptly
• Manage multiple tables simultaneously through effective time management, ensuring all guests receive attentive service
• Assist in restaurant operations during busy periods by supporting team members and ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
• Mix alcoholic beverages

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with strong customer service skills
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cashiering tasks
• Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently without compromising service quality
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures within the food industry
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for billing, tips, and cash handling accurately
• Strong communication skills to engage guests positively and work seamlessly with team members
• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in food preparation or guest services
• Enthusiastic attitude with a focus on upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue
• Responsible beverage certificate an asset
