Part-time Social Worker

The Academy at St. Joan of Arc is an Independent Catholic School located in Evanston, IL. We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and student-centered preschool through 8th grade School Social Worker to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). The ideal candidate will support the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of elementary students while partnering closely with teachers, administrators, and families to foster student success.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group counseling services to students
• Support students with social-emotional learning and behavioral interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address student needs
• Conduct assessments and assist in developing intervention plans
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate
• Provide crisis intervention and support services
• Communicate regularly with families and outside providers when needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
• Help promote a positive and inclusive school climate

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work required
• Valid state licensure/certification as a school social worker preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families

Schedule

• Part-time position: 3 days per week
• School-year position
• Specific schedule to be determined collaboratively
