Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (1099 Contract)Overview

The Essential Teletherapist is seeking a qualified 1099 contract Speech-Language Pathologist to provide 100% virtual speech therapy services to a middle school caseload in a Minnesota school district. This part time contract is ideal for an experienced SLP who enjoys working with middle school learners and delivering high-quality, evidence-based services in a virtual school setting.

In this role, you will assess and treat speech sound disorders, support early communication development, and collaborate with school teams all while working remotely. Your clinical expertise will directly support meaningful communication growth for middle school students.

Position Details

• Contract Dates: September 2026 – June 2027
• Service Delivery: 100% virtual
• School District Location: Minnesota
• Hours: Approximately 21 hours per week
• Pay Rate: $75/hour (1099 contractor)
• All direct and indirect time compensated at the same hourly rate
• Service Model: Direct therapy services only
• Caseload: Middle School
• Primary focus on speech sound disorders/Language
• Evaluations/IEPs

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate virtual speech therapy sessions
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies to support optimal outcomes
• Collaborate with school staff and related service providers as needed to support student success
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with district, state, and ethical requirements - Progress Notes at end of coverage are required

Requirements

• Must Already Have Active Minnesota Speech-Language Pathology license - PELSB license required
• Prior school-based experience
• Prior virtual/teletherapy experience
• Professional Liability Insurance
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong knowledge of speech sound disorders and language intervention
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working collaboratively in a virtual school environment
