Part Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

EverActive is looking for a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Michigan Veteran’s Home - Chesterfield! This is a great opportunity for an SLP looking for a part-time schedule while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our veterans.

Schedule

• Part-time, 3 weekdays per week
• Approximately 6–8 hours per day
• Consistent weekday schedule with flexibility to coordinate the specific days

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans based on their needs and goals.
• Provide speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy as appropriate.
• Help residents improve communication, cognitive function, swallowing safety, and overall quality of life.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies to support continued progress.

What We’re Looking For

• Current Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical problem-solving skills.
• A compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.
• Experience in skilled nursing or senior care is preferred, but motivated candidates with other clinical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
