Part-Time STEM Instructor

Freudigman & Billings is looking for an experienced, part-time STEM Instructor to join our team. We are particularly interested in educators with a strong track record of helping students succeed in AP-level coursework in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. Candidates with an interest in expanding their expertise through other service types at F&B, such as SAT/ACT prep or Educational Therapy.

This is an in-person position at our center in Westport, CT. Sunday availability is required. Candidates must have at least five years of teaching experience in a high school.

Who You Are

You are an experienced educator with at least five years of teaching experience and a B.A./B.S. in Science or a related field. You have a strong command of your subject area and enjoy making complex concepts accessible, engaging, and meaningful for high school students.

You know how to adapt your teaching to different learning styles, build rapport with teenagers, and help students navigate challenging coursework. You bring patience, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine interest in helping students recognize their potential.

We value educators who are thoughtful, collaborative, and eager to continue refining their instructional practice. Experience teaching AP-level coursework in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least five years of teaching experience in a High School.
• A B.A./B.S. in Mathematics, Science, or a related field.
• Strong subject-matter knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
• Experience supporting high school in AP-level coursework is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with students.
• The ability to adapt instruction to individual student needs and learning styles.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to high-quality, individualized instruction.
• Availability to teach on Sundays, which is required for this position, with the option to add additional weeknights.
• Willingness to work in person at our Westport, CT center. This is not a remote position.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and the agreed-upon part-time schedule. Details regarding hourly pay, paid time off, and eligibility for additional benefits will be discussed during the hiring process.
