Pay: $17.00–$19.50 per hour
Schedule: Weekday afternoons and evenings; weekend mornings

Help children build confidence in the water! The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Billerica is hiring enthusiastic swim instructors to teach children of varying ages and abilities in a safe, fun, and supportive environment.

No previous swim instruction experience is required. We provide on-site training to help you develop your teaching skills. Applicants should be comfortable in the water.

What you will do:

• Teach swim lessons to children with a range of ages and abilities.
• Follow lesson plans and adapt activities to each swimmer’s needs.
• Help children develop swimming and water safety skills.
• Give positive feedback and celebrate swimmers’ progress.
• Follow pool safety procedures and reinforce rules with participants.

What we are looking for:

• An interest of working with children.
• A patient, dependable, and encouraging approach.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule throughout a lesson session.
• Previous swim instruction, childcare, or competitive swimming experience is welcome but not required.

Lifeguard and CPR certifications are preferred but not required to apply. On-site certification opportunities are available and can lead to higher pay, additional hours, and greater responsibilities.

Schedule:

Lessons run in sessions lasting 7–11 weeks. You will select from available shifts before each session and commit to those same hours throughout. Available shifts are primarily weekday afternoons and evenings, and weekend mornings.
