What they need

Join our mission to inspire the next generation of innovators!

Wize Computing Academy is a growing STEAM education provider offering hands-on, project-based programs in coding, robotics, engineering, and technology. Our programs combine interactive technology projects with engaging offline activities designed to develop creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, logic, and problem-solving skills in students ages 5–14.

We are seeking positive, dependable, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support our Lead Teachers and help create engaging, organized, and encouraging classroom experiences.

This is a part-time, 1099 independent contractor opportunity at local school sites in the Plymouth/Canton area. Most after-school programs take place on weekdays between approximately 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM. Candidates must be consistently available for at least three weekdays per week and commit to their assigned classes for the full program session.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Lead Teacher with classroom management and student support
  • Help students complete coding, robotics, and STEM projects using our established curriculum
  • Provide individual guidance to students who need additional assistance
  • Help set up, organize, and pack computers, robotics equipment, and classroom materials
  • Monitor student attendance, participation, and progress
  • Encourage positive behavior and reinforce classroom expectations
  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and productive learning environment
  • Support student arrival, dismissal, and classroom transitions
  • Communicate professionally with instructors, school staff, students, and families as needed
  • Represent Wize Computing Academy with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Participate in required paid training sessions and team meetings

What We’re Looking For:

  • Positive, patient, dependable, and enthusiastic about working with children
  • Available for at least three weekdays per week, typically between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM
  • Able to commit consistently to assigned classes throughout the full program session
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic classroom environment
  • A strong team player with clear communication skills
  • Interested in supporting students’ academic and personal development
  • Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, camps, childcare, or youth programs is preferred but not required
  • Coding or robotics experience is helpful but not required; training and curriculum are provided
  • High school students, current college students, and recent college graduates are welcome to apply
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Willing and able to travel to assigned school locations in the Canton area
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Why Join Us:

  • Consistent part-time weekday assignments
  • A schedule that works well for high school students, college students, aspiring educators, and recent graduates
  • Provided curriculum, materials, training, and instructional support
  • Opportunities to advance into Lead Teacher and program leadership roles
  • A supportive, collaborative, and mission-driven team
  • The opportunity to help students build confidence, creativity, problem-solving skills, and an interest in STEM

Join us in inspiring the next generation of innovators—one student and one project at a time.
