Port Arthur Community Federal Credit Union is seeking a dependable, friendly, and service-focused Part-Time Teller. In this role, you will help members complete their financial transactions accurately and efficiently while providing the welcoming, personal service our members deserve.

The ideal candidate is comfortable handling cash, communicating with members in person and by telephone, and working in a professional, confidential environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, transfers, and other member transactions accurately.
• Confirm transaction details with members to reduce errors and ensure their needs are met.
• Maintain and balance a cash drawer daily in accordance with credit union procedures.
• Promptly report and assist in resolving cash drawer discrepancies.
• Issue cashier’s checks and money orders.
• Process coin and currency exchanges and verify all amounts.
• Answer member questions regarding accounts, products, services, policies, and procedures.
• Research and help resolve member and internal account inquiries.
• Provide courteous assistance in the lobby, drive-thru, and by telephone.
• Support other departments and branch locations as needed.
• Assist with member requests, account verifications, and other operational responsibilities.
• Protect member information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Follow all credit union policies and applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of cash-handling experience preferred.
• Previous banking or credit union experience preferred.
• At least one year of customer-service experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Professional communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to delivering friendly and respectful member service.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Rotating Saturdays are required.
• Additional hours may be available based on staffing and operational needs.
