We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and growing independent small animal practice.

This role would suit a vet looking for a part-time position with a good work-life balance, with the majority of the role focused on consulting and first-opinion small animal medicine.

Working Hours

• 20–30 hours per week
• Flexible working pattern to suit the successful candidate
• 1:3 Saturday rota, 08:30am–1:00pm
• No Sundays
• No bank holiday work
• No out-of-hours
• Out-of-hours care fully covered by the RVC

About Us

Broxbourne Veterinary Centre is an independent small animal practice focused on providing high standards of patient care in a supportive, friendly and positive environment.

We are both Dog Friendly and Cat Friendly accredited, with our practice layout, handling techniques and rota planning centred around patient welfare and reducing stress for our patients.

Our clinical team currently includes three experienced vets, one holding Advanced Practitioner status in Ophthalmology.

We also have visiting orthopaedic and specialist diagnostic imaging services.

The Role

This position is predominantly consulting, making it ideal for an experienced vet who enjoys building relationships with clients and providing high-quality first-opinion care.

• Digital X-ray

• Intra-articular joint injection clinics
• Two theatres
• Three consulting rooms
• Separate dog, cat and isolation wards
• Dedicated euthanasia room

You will be supported by:

• 4 RVNs
• 1 VCA
• Experienced veterinary colleagues
• Visiting orthopaedic and specialist diagnostic imaging services

• Salary from £55,000 pro rata, depending on experience
