Part-Time videographer

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Videographer Intern role at RIDEVISMEDIA is a paid, part-time,
on-site position focused on capturing video content for our clients'
social media campaigns.

This is hands-on field work. You will be on location at client sites
across the Greater Boston area - restaurants, retail spaces, real estate
properties, and events - shooting Instagram Reels, TikToks, and short-form
promotional content. You will operate the camera, set up lighting, direct
simple shots, and capture the footage that becomes our clients' social
media presence.

If you want to learn video production by actually doing it, on real
shoots, for real brands, this is that role.

IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION
This role is not remote or hybrid. Video content must be captured in
person at client locations. You must be based in or able to travel
within the Greater Boston area and have reliable transportation to
shoot locations.

COMPENSATION
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience
Part-time, approximately 15-20 hours per week
Shoot days scheduled in advance around your class schedule

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Travel to client locations across Greater Boston for scheduled shoots
• Operate cameras to capture vertical short-form video for Instagram
  Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Set up and break down basic lighting and audio equipment on location
• Shoot food, product, interior, and lifestyle footage depending on the
  client
• Direct simple on-camera moments and reaction shots when needed
• Assist with pre-production planning, including creative briefs and
  shoot logistics
• Prepare, transport, organize, and maintain equipment
• Help select and flag the strongest clips for the editing team
• Maintain organized file management and deliver footage promptly after
  each shoot

QUALIFICATIONS

• Based in or able to travel within the Greater Boston area
• Reliable transportation to reach client shoot locations
• Ability to perform core video production tasks, including shooting and
  general video production
• Proficiency or developing skills in camera operation and working with
  camera equipment
• Basic understanding of lighting for video shoots
• Interest in digital marketing and creating video content for social
  media, advertising, and online campaigns
• Comfortable working in active business environments - restaurants
  during service, retail floors, occupied properties
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage files
  and follow creative guidelines
• Effective communication skills and comfort working directly with
  clients on location
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to take direction and feedback
  constructively
• Relevant coursework, portfolio, or personal projects in videography,
  film, media, or content creation are a plus

NICE TO HAVE

• Your own camera or gimbal (not required - we can discuss equipment)
• Experience shooting food, product, or real estate content
• Familiarity with vertical 9:16 composition for social platforms
• Basic editing ability in CapCut, Premiere, or DaVinci Resolve
