THE OPPORTUNITY

Goldberg Segalla is seeking a Partner to join our Civil Trial and Construction practice in Buffalo, NY.

This opportunity is well suited for an attorney who wants to expand a practice within a collaborative national platform that values client service, teamwork, and long-term growth. Our team handles a wide range of matters for national and regional clients, and partners can draw on attorneys and resources across offices and disciplines to serve clients wherever their needs arise.

This role also offers the opportunity to help shape and lead the Civil Trial and Construction practice alongside skilled peer partners, with institutional support for business development, client service, recruiting, and practice growth.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Serve as a trusted advisor to existing and prospective clients.
• Lead and manage sophisticated matters within Civil Trial and Construction.
• Expand and strengthen client relationships through strategic counsel and exceptional service.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practices and offices to deliver integrated legal solutions.
• Identify opportunities to broaden client relationships across the firm’s platform.
• Mentor and develop associates, counsel, and emerging leaders.
• Contribute to business development, recruiting, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Help shape the direction and future growth of the practice and market.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in NY.
• 8+ years of significant experience in Civil Trial and Construction.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in growing a practice within a national platform.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Commitment to collaboration and exceptional client service.
• No portable book of business is required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary Range: $110,000 - $250,000

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Goldberg Segalla's Civil Trial and Construction team represents businesses, property owners, contractors, retailers, hospitality providers, insurers, and other organizations in a wide variety of civil litigation matters. Our attorneys handle claims ranging from routine negligence actions to complex, high-exposure litigation involving significant damages and challenging factual issues.

Attorneys in this practice manage cases through all phases of litigation and regularly work with experts, witnesses, insurers, and clients to develop efficient and effective defense strategies. The practice provides substantial courtroom exposure, litigation experience, and opportunities to work on diverse matters across multiple industries.
