About Learnvia
Learnvia is a nonprofit learning collaborative that brings educators and researchers together to improve student success in gateway math courses — courses that can open the door to degree completion, STEM pathways, and high-demand careers. By helping more students succeed in these critical courses, Learnvia aims to expand opportunity for students and strengthen the pipeline into fields that drive innovation.
Launched by Carnegie Mellon University in 2025 and generously supported by the Gates Foundation, Learnvia brings educators and researchers together to turn the science of learning into classroom practice. We pair smarter learning tools with faculty support, professional learning, peer collaboration, and continuous research to strengthen teaching and learning over time.
Position Overview
The Partnership Associate will support the growth and development of Learnvia's postsecondary institutional partnerships by coordinating the Institutional Partner program and providing sales enablement across Learnvia's partnership and adoption efforts.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Lead, this role will work across institutions and regions to help the team identify and develop opportunities, prepare for institutional engagement, coordinate complex partnership activities, and equip colleagues with the information, materials, and systems needed to move relationships forward.
The Partnerships Associate will play a central role in Learnvia's Institutional Partner program, supporting relationships with participating institutions and helping coordinate activities across faculty, institutional leaders, and Learnvia teams. The Associate will also support Institutional Partnership Managers throughout the sales cycle through prospect and account research, CRM management, outreach support, meeting preparation, proposal and presentation development, follow-up, reporting, and other sales-enablement activities.
The ideal candidate is someone who is highly collaborative and understands higher education, enjoys building relationships, and can move comfortably between external partner engagement and behind-the-scenes execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day coordination and continued development of Learnvia's Institutional Partner program and serve as a point of contact for designated program activities, coordinating communications, meetings, materials, timelines, and follow-up.
- Maintain a clear understanding of target institutions, including key stakeholders, courses and departments, partnership goals, commitments, timelines, and opportunities for broader engagement.
- Maintain partnership plans, records, and documentation to ensure commitments, milestones, responsibilities, and next steps are clearly tracked.
- Coordinate across Institutional Partnerships, Faculty Success, Research, Product, Marketing, and other Learnvia teams to support institutional activities and commitments.
- Track partner engagement, surface emerging needs and opportunities, and escalate issues to the appropriate team member.
- Support partnership managers by conducting research on prospective institutions, mathematics programs, faculty, decision-makers, existing courseware, enrollment opportunities, and other relevant account information.
- Prepare account briefs, meeting materials, presentations, proposals, talking points, competitive information, and other resources needed for effective faculty and institutional conversations.
- Support targeted outreach and follow-up efforts, including coordinating communications, scheduling demonstrations and meetings, and ensuring timely follow-through on prospective opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and complete information in HubSpot, such as contacts, institutions, opportunities, activities, partnership status, and next steps.
- Support pipeline reporting and analysis, helping the team identify gaps, trends, priority opportunities, and areas requiring additional attention.
- Coordinate with Marketing on campaigns, events, lead-generation activities, account-based outreach, and materials supporting institutional engagement.
- Take on special projects that strengthen Learnvia's partnership-development infrastructure and ability to scale institutional engagement.
- Maintain current knowledge of Learnvia's courseware, platform features, research, implementation processes, and Institutional Partner program.
- Develop familiarity with the postsecondary mathematics market, including major courseware products, competitors, instructional approaches, and institutional decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Education, Business, Marketing, Communications, Mathematics, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with postsecondary mathematics, courseware, or educational technology is preferred.
- Experience working with colleges and universities strongly preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in higher education, educational technology, sales enablement, business development, partnerships, account management, program coordination, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally with faculty, institutional leaders, and internal colleagues.
- Strong project-management and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through, and demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects, stakeholders, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with CRM systems and comfort maintaining data, generating reports, and using information to support decision-making; HubSpot experience is a plus.
- Ability to develop polished presentations, account briefs, proposals, reports, and other partner-facing and internal materials.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Interest in and alignment with Learnvia's mission and in helping expand the reach and impact of high-quality gateway mathematics education.
