What they need
The Opportunity
Our client is a growing payments technology business specialising in recurring commerce. Their Financial Services portfolio is expanding quickly, and this is a newly created role to build the partner channel behind that growth.
Lenders, collections agencies and insurers all need to collect repayments and premiums and pay funds out, and the fastest route to them is through the software platforms they already run on. This role is about opening those doors.
You will own new partner acquisition from start to finish, alongside nurturing a number of existing partners. That means building the target list, opening the conversations, running the deal, and getting each partner live and selling.
You do not need a payments background. They will teach you that side. What they are hiring for is SaaS partnership instinct, pace and drive.
What You Will Do
Build and work the pipeline
- Map the partner landscape across lending, debt collection and insurance, and build a prioritised target list
- Run your own outbound: email, LinkedIn, calls, warm introductions and events
- Keep a clean, accurate pipeline in HubSpot and forecast honestly each week
Win partners
- Qualify partners on fit, merchant overlap and revenue potential
- Pitch the proposition to product, commercial and executive stakeholders
- Negotiate partnership terms and take them to signature
Launch them well
- Agree a launch plan with each new partner covering integration timeline, enablement, first campaign and first referred merchants
- Work with Product, Marketing and Operations to get partners live and generating merchants
- Hand over to partner management once agreed launch milestones are met
Bring the outside in
- Feed partner and competitor insight back to Product and Marketing
- Help shape co-marketing and partner enablement materials for your verticals
What You Will Bring
- Around 5 years in B2B SaaS, within a payments, fintech or credit environment, with at least 2 in partnerships, business development or a new business sales role
- Evidence of exceeding targets, and of clear progression year on year
- Experience selling to, or partnering with, platforms, ISVs, agencies or marketplaces
- Working knowledge of a CRM, ideally HubSpot, and a disciplined approach to pipeline
- Willingness to travel for partner meetings and industry events
Nice to have
- SaaS sold into lending, collections, insurance or other regulated financial services
- Experience in a scale-up environment
Not required
- Hands-on payments or acquiring product experience. Full training is provided.
The Package
- Base salary: £60k - £70k
- Commission: Performance-related commission on new partners signed and partner-sourced revenue [confirm OTE and structure]
- Location: London, hybrid [confirm days in office]
- Travel: Occasional UK travel for partner meetings and industry events
- Reporting to: Head of Financial Services Partnerships
- Progression: Clear route into a senior partnerships role
