Parts and technical assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Parts and Technical Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing parts inventory, supporting service operations, and ensuring seamless supply chain processes to our customers. Your mechanical knowledge, customer service skills, and familiarity with warehouse and shipping procedures will drive efficiency and excellence across our operations. Duties

• Assist in managing parts inventory, software to track stock levels, reorder supplies, and ensure accurate data entry.
• Support engineering service teams by providing necessary parts promptly, ensuring all requests are fulfilled efficiently to minimize vehicle downtime.
• Support engineering service team with technical advise on repairs
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, verifying shipments against purchase orders, preparing items for dispatch, and maintaining accurate records of inbound and outbound goods.
• Assist with equipment repair and maintenance tasks as needed, applying knowledge to troubleshoot issues or support repairs.
• Engage in customer service interactions by providing technical support or information regarding parts availability and automotive repairs.
• Perform data entry related to inventory updates, shipping logs, and maintenance records with precision to ensure operational accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics environments, preferably within automotive or industrial sectors.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity with automotive repair processes.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record-keeping.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills.
• Ability to handle shipping & receiving tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
• Basic understanding of supply chain principles and logistics processes.

Pay range is dependant on relevant parts and technical experience.

Pay: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
