Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Parts Counter Associate to join our team! This energetic role is vital in providing outstanding customer service by assisting customers with automotive parts and accessories. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for automotive repair and sales. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a reputable dealership while helping customers keep their vehicles running smoothly.

Duties

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, building positive relationships through excellent client communication
• Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories using inventory management systems and automotive diagnostics tools
• Process sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems and handle cash handling responsibilities with integrity
• Manage inventory control by stocking parts efficiently, conducting stock checks, and maintaining organized storage areas
• Provide technical support by explaining vehicle systems, mechanical troubleshooting, and automotive repair procedures to customers
• Collaborate with the sales team to promote automotive parts sales and accessories through effective marketing strategies
• Maintain detailed records of sales, orders, and customer interactions using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

Skills

• Strong knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and vehicle systems with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Excellent negotiation skills to upsell products and close sales effectively
• Proficiency in inventory management, stock control, and order fulfillment processes
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Familiarity with dealership operations including POS systems, retail math, and cash handling procedures
• Exceptional communication skills for engaging with customers and team members professionally
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical troubleshooting, and vehicle maintenance is highly desirable
• Ability to build lasting customer relationships through outstanding service and client communication
