We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Parts Interpreter to support our sales, workshop, and production teams by coordinating parts enquiries, quotations, sales orders, inventory, and customer deliveries. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth operations & maintaining high customer satisfaction.

About the Role

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for interpreting customer requirements, coordinating with relevant people & departments, and managing service-related enquiries for a wide range of heat exchangers and cooling systems.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Interpreting and responding to customer parts enquiries via phone and email

• Coordinating end-to-end job processes including but not limited to:

  • Preparing quotations and processing customer orders
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers and workshop personnel regarding parts availability and lead times
  • Supporting inventory control, stock replenishment and cycle counts
  • Assisting with purchasing and supplier management activities
  • Preparing cost reconciliations & invoicing
  • Coordinating freight and dispatch requirements

• Maintaining accurate records within the ERP system

• Providing exceptional service to customers across the mining, marine, oil & gas, defence and industrial sectors

• Working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure efficient job completion

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter, Internal Sales Coordinator, Parts Advisor, Service Advisor or similar role
• Experience within manufacturing, mining, heavy vehicle, diesel, industrial, marine or engineering environments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand technical drawings, assemblies and component specifications (where required)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• A proactive, team-oriented approach
