A Day in the Life of a Patient Access - Breezy Point Clinic Scheduling (PAS)

In the role of Patient Access Specialist-Scheduling, you will be integral in managing patient schedules, ensuring accurate and timely appointments aligned with provider availability and patient needs. Your responsibilities encompass handling sensitive information with discretion, maintaining detailed electronic medical records, and verifying insurance coverage. Daily tasks involve direct communication with patients, providing exemplary customer service over the phone, and addressing any scheduling conflicts or inquiries efficiently. Collaboration with healthcare providers, staff, and external agencies is crucial to facilitate seamless care continuity and handle all clerical support functions proficiently. The position requires adaptability to various situations, the ability to multitask effectively, and maintaining composure under stress to meet the needs of both patients and healthcare team members.

Education and Experience

Required

• Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office, EMR systems (EPIC preferred), and multi-line phone system
• Successful completion of data entry standard administered by Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Human Resources Staff

Preferred

• High School diploma or GED
• Previous Patient Access experience

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range is listed above. Actual pay rate offered is determined based on experience in this role. Please be sure to include all applicable experience in your application.
