As a 2 AA Rosette restaurant in the heart of Farnham, we combine seasonal British cuisine with a refined yet relaxed approach to hospitality.

We are now looking for a confident, highly organised and passionate Pass In Charge to become an essential part of our Front of House team.

The Role

The Pass In Charge is the vital connection between our kitchen and Front of House teams.

You will take ownership of the food pass during service, ensuring that every dish is presented to the highest standards, every order is accurate and every table receives its food at the correct time.

This is a role for someone who thrives under pressure, communicates with confidence and understands that exceptional restaurant service depends on precision, teamwork and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the food pass throughout lunch and dinner services.
• Coordinate food service between the kitchen, food runners and waiting team.
• Monitor order accuracy, table numbers, covers and dietary requirements.
• Follow strict allergen procedures, verifying requirements with the kitchen and escalating any uncertainty before food is served.
• Control the timing and flow of dishes to maintain a seamless dining experience.
• Communicate confidently with chefs, supervisors and managers during service.
• Direct and support food runners, ensuring dishes reach the correct guests promptly.
• Anticipate potential delays and resolve service issues calmly and efficiently.
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness, organisation and professionalism at the pass.
• Develop excellent knowledge of our menus, ingredients and dish presentation.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in a quality restaurant, ideally within a Rosette-awarded or fine-dining environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to remain calm, composed and decisive during busy services.
• Strong communication skills and a natural ability to lead and coordinate others.
• A genuine passion for food, hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Confidence in managing service timings and prioritising multiple orders.
• A strong understanding of food allergens and safe food service procedures.
• A positive attitude, professional appearance and team-first mentality.

Previous experience managing a restaurant pass or working as a food expeditor would be highly advantageous.
