What they need

Passenger Coach Electrical Panel & Piping Subsystems Builder Build what moves America

Pioneering in America, from the first mile to the last. This is what drives us. For over 160 years, Siemens has advanced U.S. infrastructure with electrification and transportation innovations. At our Lexington, NC passenger railcar facility, Siemens Mobility’s Rolling Stock Division—North America’s market leader—combines automation and digitalization to transform rail with safety, reliability, and sustainability.

Your mission

Help us build the best rail vehicles in the world. In this role, you’ll assemble and install the electro-mechanical heart of passenger coaches—electrical panels, control racks, cable harnesses, roof units, mounted parts, air supply racks, and piping assemblies. You’ll interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, sketches, parts lists, and wire lists to route and terminate wiring, and you’ll expertly disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble components when change is required. Precision matters: many tasks call for excellent dexterity and careful handling of small parts.

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 5:30am – 4:00pm

What you’ll need to succeed

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED—or equivalent education/experience in manufacturing or a related setting.
  • Experience in electrical panel assembly, construction, automotive, or electrical service fields.
  • Electro-mechanical assembly background.
  • Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal).
  • Comfort reading blueprints, diagrams, and part lists is a plus.
  • Proficiency in electrical schematics and strong mechanical assembly skills.

Physical requirements

  • Frequent walking; reaching; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Ability to perform overhead tasks.
  • Occasional lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
  • Visual acuity: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Grow and thrive here

  • 11 paid holidays and 18 days of PTO.
  • 401(k) with a 6% company match.
  • Health, Dental, Vision, HSA/FSA, and Commuter Benefits starting Day 1.
  • Competitive total rewards package.
  • Tuition Reimbursement, Mentor Programs, and online learning to fuel your development.
  • Employee perks and discounts, plus opportunities to be recognized and rewarded for your ideas.
