Passive Fire Engineer

As we continue to grow our Fire Engineering department, we have an exciting opportunity for a Passive Fire Engineer to join our team.

Our clients include some of the most well-known names in the industry, and you’ll work on iconic buildings across New Zealand, including public buildings, healthcare facilities, apartments, sports venues, schools, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

Working within a small team under the guidance of some of Auckland’s most respected Passive Fire Engineers, and closely with the Director, your role will involve:

• Reviewing existing documentation
• Conducting and delivering risk assessments and audits
• Preparing fire reports and drawings
• Monitoring construction onsite

About You:

• Hold a university engineering qualification, or have significant experience in the fire industry with a desire to upskill in design and inspection. Alternatively, someone with hands-on experience in passive fire protection seeking to transition into inspection and design work.
• Confident in interacting with colleagues and clients to deliver solutions and projects effectively
• Ability to work well within a team and independently
• Proactive approach with excellent time management, scheduling, and organisational skills
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Proven track record of building relationships with colleagues and clients
• Experience with CAD or SketchUp is a bonus
