Pastry Assistant / Baker Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a bakery/pastry assistant to join our team. Experience is not required, and students interested in internships are welcome to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pastry chefs and bakers in preparing doughs, batters, fillings, and toppings
• Operate bakery equipment and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area
• Help with packing, labeling, and stock rotation
• Ensure hygiene and safety compliance at all times
• Bake different bread types, like pretzels, baguettes and multigrain breads
• Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies (e.g. chocolate ganache, caramel sauce and fruits)
• Decorate cakes with glazes, icings, buttercream and edible toppings, like flowers
• Shape dough to prepare different types of pastries, including croissants, cookies and sweet rolls

About you

• Basic knowledge of bakery or pastry preparation is an advantage
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to stand for long hours and handle physical tasks
• Team player with a positive attitude
