The Snarky Tea House is a quirky, Alice in Wonderland–inspired tea house in the heart of Doylestown. We serve afternoon tea with scones, pastries, cakes, tea sandwiches, and seasonal treats, all made from scratch in our kitchen. Every tea tower is made fresh to order, and we take pride in sending out food that looks as good as it tastes.

We’re a small, friendly team that works hard and has fun. If you’ve spent time in a bakery, café, or kitchen, show up ready to work, and want to keep learning, we want to hear from you. We are willing to teach but would prefer that you have bakery or pastry experience.

What you’ll be doing

Our week has two rhythms: Monday through Wednesday are prep days, and Thursday through Sunday we’re open for tea service.

• On prep days: baking scones, cookies, cakes, tarts, and other pastries, and getting savory items ready
• On service days: building our tea towers with sandwiches, scones, and sweets made fresh that day, so every tower goes out warm, inviting, and looking beautiful
• Following our recipes and keeping things consistent
• Prepping and setting up your station
• Keeping the kitchen clean and organized
• Putting away deliveries and labeling and storing food
• Working alongside the kitchen and front-of-house team

What we’re looking for

• Some baking or pastry experience (bakery, café, restaurant, catering, or similar)
• Someone who wants to learn and grow
• Reliable and on time
• Good teammate with a good attitude
• Comfortable standing for a full shift and lifting kitchen supplies

Nice to have

• Experience with basic savory cooking
• Food safety knowledge

Schedule

We’re hiring for two positions:

• Position 1: Monday and Tuesday (9am–5pm), Saturday (8:30am–4pm)
• Position 2: Friday and Sunday (8:30am–4pm)
