Pastry Assistant

Molly’s Cupcakes is an award-winning bakery where we make desserts from scratch with high-quality ingredients, thoughtful details, and plenty of creativity. We’re a small team, so every person’s passion, ideas, and communication make a visible difference in what we create each day.

We’re looking for a dependable, enthusiastic baker who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in making something special. You’ll work closely with the owner and our pastry team, coordinate with decorators, and help keep production connected with our evening bakers. If you like learning, sharing ideas, and being part of a close-knit team, we’d love to meet you.

What you’ll do

• Prepare batters, fillings, frostings, cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, and other scratch-made desserts using our recipes and quality standards.
• Work with the owner to plan the daily, monthly, and seasonal production list and keep the team updated on priorities, progress, and anything that needs attention.
• Measure and scale ingredients accurately so every batch is consistent.
• Decorate custom cakes and cupcakes when needed, working with our decorators to meet customer and order details.
• Use ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment safely and keep your work area clean and organized.
• Track baking times and temperatures and speak up if a product or process doesn’t look right.
• Package and label products for retail, catering, and custom orders.
• Contribute ideas and help test new products when opportunities come up.

• Bakery or food-production experience is preferred. Baking fundamentals and equipment experience is a must; we’re glad to hear from people who are eager to learn.
• You’re able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• You can work an early shift starting at 6 a.m., with weekend and holiday shifts as needed.
