Pastry Baker

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, bread, cookies, and Japanese-inspired desserts.
• Follow standardized recipes, measurements, and preparation procedures.
• Prepare and measure ingredients accurately before production.
• Mix, knead, proof, shape, bake, and decorate various pastry products.
• Prepare Japanese-style pastries and desserts according to the restaurant’s menu and standards.
• Monitor oven temperature, baking time, and product quality.
• Ensure all pastries are fresh, properly portioned, and attractively presented.
• Maintain proper inventory and storage of baking ingredients and supplies.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery and kitchen area.
• Properly operate and maintain baking equipment and tools.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Coordinate with the Kitchen and Restaurant Team regarding daily production requirements.
• Assist in developing or improving pastry products and menu items when needed.
• Minimize food waste and properly store unused ingredients and finished products.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the Chef, Supervisor, or Restaurant Manager.
