Pastry Chef/ Baker

About the role

We are a small independently owned wholesale food manufacturing business looking for someone to fill a hands-on role to lead daily production. Our products are hand made from scratch in small batches. We are customer driven and team focused, valuing consistency, craftsmanship and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Select and weigh ingredients (we do not use pre-mixes)
• Monitor ovens
• Ensure consistency in products
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness
• Operate commercial equipment
• Follow standardised recipes
• Contribute new ideas for products on special occasions throughout the year

About you

• Cert III in Baking required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial environment is essential
• Confident with operating commercial equipment
• Australian work authorisation is required for this position

We have a range of about 40 different products that we offer our customers from sweet loaves, slices muffins and cookies to sausage rolls and other savoury options.
