A LITTLE ABOUT MATTINA

Mattina is a speciality coffee shop with an Italian influence, serving seriously good coffee alongside brunch, focaccia and plenty of baked goods.

We’ve quickly built a name for ourselves, being shortlisted as Manchester’s "Most Loved Coffee Shop" by "I Love Manchester" just one year after opening. We’re growing, experimenting and figuring out what’s next and we want good people to be part of it.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a creative, passionate Pastry Chef / Baker to join the Mattina team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves both pastry and baking, gets excited about the details and wants to make really good things every day.

You’ll work closely with our Head Pastry Chef / Baker to create, develop and produce a range of pastries, breads, focaccia, cakes and other baked goods across the coffee shop : from everyday favourites to seasonal specials and new ideas.

We’re big on creativity, quality and doing things properly.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Loves pastry and baking and takes real pride in their work
• Has a creative eye and enjoys developing new ideas
• Has a strong attention to detail and high standards
• Is comfortable working with doughs, fermentation and pastry
• Cares about quality, seasonality and great ingredients
• Works well as part of a small, ambitious team
• Wants to learn, grow and have a proper say in what we make
