Duties

• Prepare a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, tarts, cookies, and bread, adhering strictly to established recipes and quality standards
• Decorate cakes and desserts with precision using various cake decorating techniques to create visually stunning presentations
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, pastry bags, and other baking tools safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Manage food production schedules to ensure timely delivery of fresh baked items for service or catering events
• Package baked goods securely for retail display or catering orders, ensuring freshness and presentation quality
• Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and improve existing menu items while maintaining consistency in flavor and appearance

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar culinary role within the food industry, with a strong focus on pastry preparation and baking techniques
• Demonstrated skill in cake decorating, food handling, and food preparation methods suitable for high-volume production environments
• Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, knives, and other baking tools
• Strong understanding of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
• Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately while maintaining consistency across large batches of baked goods
• Excellent knife skills combined with proficiency in pastry preparation techniques such as piping, glazing, and filling
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients precisely and managing portion control effectively
• Customer service orientation with the ability to handle catering requests or retail customer inquiries professionally
• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with high-volume production demands is highly desirable
