Pastry Chef

We are looking for someone with passion and experience for creating high quality pastries and baked goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, follow recipes, be creative, solve problems, have a commitment to consistency and pay attention to detail, be a team player that works hard and goes above and beyond the basic requirements that will improve the pastry shop!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Decorate cakes and desserts to meet customer specifications and enhance presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and fulfilling special orders.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to streamline food preparation and service processes.
• Manage inventory and packaging of baked goods for sale.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle food safely
• Expertise in baking with a focus on pastry techniques
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
• Experience in cake decorating and packaging
• Previous work in a restaurant environment is preferred
