Pastry Chef

The Mangrove Place is looking for a creative, skilled, and versatile Pastry Cook who can prepare high-quality pastries and desserts while also assisting with banquet operations and à la carte service when needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare pastries, cakes, desserts, and other baked goods.
• Develop creative dessert menus and maintain consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.
• Assist in banquet preparations, events, and special functions.
• Support à la carte operations by preparing desserts and assisting with other kitchen requirements as needed.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
• Monitor inventory, control food costs, and minimize ingredient waste.
• Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, or a related field is an advantage.
• With experience in pastry and dessert preparation; banquet and à la carte experience is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in baking techniques, dessert presentation, and kitchen operations.
• Flexible and willing to assist in different kitchen sections when necessary.
• Creative, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to be based in Siquijor.
