About the role

The Pastry & Bakery Chef is responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting a variety of pastries, bread, desserts, and bakery products in accordance with the Company's recipes, quality standards, and food safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and produce pastries, cakes, bread, desserts, and other bakery products according to established recipes and standards
• Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
• Operate and maintain bakery equipment, ovens, mixers, and other kitchen tools safely and properly
• Ensure all pastry and bakery products are prepared, baked, decorated, and stored according to quality standards
• Maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the pastry and bakery section
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and report shortages or damaged products to the supervisor
• Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials, finished products, and perishable ingredients
• Minimize food waste and maintain proper portion control
• Assist in developing new pastry and bakery menus, recipes, and seasonal products when required
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders

About you

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in pastry and bakery production
• Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert presentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required
